Dining
One of the highlights of a Disney cruise is the food! Each ship offers multiple restaurants with a wide variety of cuisines to choose from, including classic American fare, gourmet French cuisine, and more. With Disney Cruise Line's unique rotational dining system, guests will rotate through 3 unique themed dining venues for dinner each night and their wait staff rotates with them to ensure the level of service is equal at each venue. Some of the restaurants that are part of rotational dining offer character experiences where you can be entertained by your favorite Disney characters. My personal favorite Disney Cruise dining experience is Arendelle on the Disney Wish where guests are welcomed to celebrate Queen Anna and Kristoff's engagement. In addition to rotational dining, there is a buffet for breakfast and lunch as well as quick-service counters and 24-hour room service. Best of all: all the food options mentioned so far are included in your cruise fare! Also included are all non-specialty beverages. There's no need to purchase an additional drinks package to enjoy your favorite soda! If you decide that you want a special treat, there are several exclusive adults only dining venues available at an additional charge. You can also visit one of the many lounges or cafes to purchase your favorite cocktail, mocktail, or specialty coffee. Whether you choose to stick to only what's included in your cruise fare or treat yourself to an elevated dining experience, you'll never have to worry about getting hungry on a Disney Cruise!
Entertainment
There's never a dull moment onboard a Disney ship. From Broadway-style musicals to live deck shows, comedy shows, interactive game shows, live music, and fireworks at sea, there's something for everyone. And of course, there are plenty of opportunities to meet and greet your favorite Disney characters, both in designated meet-and-greet areas and throughout the ship.
Kids' Clubs
For families with children, Disney ships offer amazing kids' clubs that are designed to keep kids age 3-17 entertained and engaged. These impressively themed clubs are included in your cruise fare and are divided up by age so that kids can engage in age-appropriate activities and make new friends while parents get some much-needed relaxation time. For children younger than 3, Small World Nursery is available at an additional charge.
Activities
In addition to the entertainment and kids' clubs, there are plenty of other activities to enjoy onboard which vary slightly by ship. From pools and waterslides to sports courts, mini-golf, and even a virtual reality experience, there's no shortage of things to do. Plus, there are plenty of classes and workshops to take part in, from cooking and mixology classes to art workshops. One of our family's favorite onboard activities is Trivia! There are tons of different topics to choose from with both family friendly and adults only options.
Castaway Cay
One of the highlights of a Bahamian or Caribbean Disney Cruise itinerary is a stop at Castaway Cay, Disney's private island in the Bahamas. Here, guests can enjoy the perfect beach day! All food on the island is included as well as beach chairs, hammocks, and umbrellas. If you want to engage in some snorkeling you can either bring your own gear or rent some. You can also rent tubes, aqua trikes, and kayaks. Plus, there are plenty of excursions to choose from, like parasailing, boat rides, and even a stingray encounter. Looking for a kids club on the island? Look no further than Scuttle's Cove which is included for kids 3-17. There are also adults-only portions of the island for those who are looking for a quieter beach experience. The white sand beaches and crystal blue water of Castaway Cay give you the classic beauty of the Bahamas with the special theming and attention to detail that Disney is known for!
