Wondering where to eat at Universal Orlando Resort? On a recent trip, my family and I booked a dining reservation at Toothsome Chocolate Emporium. Check out my review of our experience below!
Toothsome Chocolate Emporium is located in Universal CityWalk, right between the entrances to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Despite what the name might imply, there is much more than chocolate served at Toothsome. They have a great selection of appetizers and entrees (including an extensive brunch menu) and the menu features a good mixture of familiar and adventurous options. As great as the appetizers and entrees are, the desserts are what make Toothsome famous! They are known for their over the top sundaes and milk shakes!
I ordered the vegetable garganelli as my entree and our server recommended that I order a side of alfredo sauce to go on top of it. I'm really glad that I listened to her recommendation, because it would have been very bland without it. My husband ordered the shrimp and lump crab macaroni and cheese and he really enjoyed it. My kids both ordered penne with marinara sauce and it was a hit. For dessert, we ordered an apple cinnamon sundae that was topped with an entire slice of apple pie! It was large enough for all 4 of us to split and was one of the most delicious desserts I've ever had from any restaurant.
Overall, we enjoyed our experience at Toothsome. We like the theme of the restaurant as well as the food, but what will have us coming back over and over again are the desserts. I can't wait to try one of those awesome milkshakes on our next trip!
